Given EP is a lock to make the team & AG hard to see not making it causes some roster moves are probably needed. If Dahlen keeps up his push even more decisions are required. Looks like Gaunce is going to Utica.
With TG stating what a C is to do i’d say EP is most likely playing the wing mostly. |

I don't think Schallers spot is guaranteed by any means either - I also wish Gagner and Granlund to disappear.
Ideally, I want to see Gaudette, Dahlen & Leipsic or Goldy to replace those three |

Great blog! Thanks for that Carol. Keep em coming as I’m in Ireland the next few weeks.
I really don’t think EP’s weight is an issue. Sure he’ll get knocked around a bit but it’s a small fast league and he’s got some years before it’ll matter with playoff hockey.
I still say that most of the young guys should play in Utica and get better with more ice time. Develop develop develop |

I like Granlund but I agree, get rid of Gagner. Hold some money back and send him to Columbus. I want to see Leipsic and Goldie play on the big team this year. Gaudette and Dahlen can fill in for injuries if they’re doing all right in the A |

1) Sam Gagner averages 40+ points per season.
2) The Canucks only had 5 players eclipse the 40 point mark last season
3) 2 of them retired, the other 1 was traded to the Jackets.
Also, why is Motte never mentioned in these lineups? He was great on the PK and showed more heart, speed and hustle than most of the players on the team last year.
Show these 2 some respect |

Solid sarcasm but you are correct. Gagner is not the problem. Motte can pass through waivers freely and has a zero % chance of making the team. He is a nice option for Utica though |

Thanks Carol!
I don't think I've been so excited for hockey to start in such a long time. I don't care how we do, just want some exciting hockey being played! |

Thanks Carol, the last blog went off the rails, we'll try to keep this one clean.
Boeser is such a good kid, I feel his pain, same exact injury except I had to haul my own ass off the mountain and have friends load me into my car to get to the hospital, the next day.

On their own, non of the veteran players are the "problem". It's the collection, there is simply too much leadership to go around. |

I too don’t see Schaller guaranteed a starting spot but still has a roster spot.
Gaunce is the odd man out if he doesn’t make a huge push or its waivers & Utica.
As for Gagner & Granlund they are on the bubble & i’d like them both moved out.
EP is a lock. AG is ready for a spot. Dahlen is making a strong case to crack the line-up. I don’t see Goldy or Leipsic passing through waivers. That’s a lot of spots to open up the way things are looking. |

Gagner has to distance himself from the kids pushing him. Its a numbers game.
Motte is on outside looking in & not likely someone gets bumped for him.
Too many wingers not enough spots |

You're an above average poster.
Pettersson should be stuck in the ahl to force his next contract to be lower.
If we'd done that with boeser he would cost us millions less. Us fans because it's not FA's money.
